Photographers' Statement:
For our “theme,” we took a quote from John Stilgoe that coincidentally contained our title, “Ordinary can be EXTRAORDINARY.” We all wanted people to notice the beauty in the small things that almost everyone takes for granted; to look at everyday objects through a different view and be surprised at what they find. We used ideas like juxtaposition, reflection, texture, infrastructure, and oddities to compose our pictures and create our show. We wanted to show history but also the small things of interest that no one would notice unless they were looking at them through a different perspective. We hope we were successful.
